In March of 2024, the children of Joyce & Richard O. Larson, of White, SD, Russell, Virginia & David, having read or heard about the Buggy Museum in Stockholm, decided to follow-up on prior conversations between Virginia & Arlo, now many years prior.
A road trip to visit the Larson Ranch east of White was quickly arranged.
The results of these ensuing visits can be seen in the New Ag Museum building as well as in the shed on the east side of the lot. A 2000 Amish-built carriage, a 1917 "Light Runner" RFD mail wagon, a group of 24 hand-built, horse-drawn ag & town models, horse collars, bridles & reins, horse & sleigh bells & a small collection of pre-restoration buggies & sleighs were donated to the Grant County Historical Society, to be displayed in the Ag Museum in Stockholm, SD.
Russ Larson made the physical transfer of these artifacts possible through his personal efforts. It was a pleasure to work with him in this endeavor, making his sudden passing all that much more painful.
